MINISTRIES & MISSION

Grace Church Prayer Ministry
Grace Church believes in prayer and so we engage in a Prayer Ministry which gathers regularly to pray for others. For more information or to be added to our prayer list, please contact our pastor, Charlie Pye.

Mission - What We Think
At Grace United Church we believe that we are called to serve our community and our world with our energies and our dollars.

As individuals we are called to personally work in the world and so the Church encourages active participation in mission. As a church, we are pledged to tithe from our own budget, which means that for every $9.00 spent within the church, at least $1.00 is spent on mission outside the church.

Mission - What We Do
Some of us volunteer their time directly in organizations serving the community, some visit shut-ins and take care of others. Many of us are also actively involved in our prayer ministry.  Either way, we find our energy - and our direction - from the glory of God, who guides us in our service.

The church's mission spending includes support for local food pantries, homeless shelters and other local area charities, a camp scholarship at Camp Pyoca as well as support for statewide, regional, national and international mission. Grace Church is also committed to investing its mission dollars in the charitable organizations with which our members have a personal involvement, thereby seeking to leverage their work and service.
